10+ from Tallinn, Estonia

CSI**-W Tallin last weekend was beyond successful for our squad. Susanna Granroth’s third place in the World Cup Central European league qualifier with KG Corazon (Cassini II x Peter Pan) was more than we ever hoped for, but the whole weekend was a good show indeed.

After being 5th in the 135 cm class on Friday, Leopoldo ridden by Granroth finished second in Saturday’s 135 cm, only beaten by our fellow Finn, Petra Heikkinen on Hurby (Namelus R x Indoctro). Leopoldo (Ludwig von Bayern x Lordanos) as well as Granroth’s World Cup mount KG Corazon is owned by family Burmeister.

Leopoldo, aged 18, finished second in Saturday’s 135 cm.

Sanna Backlund showed ’Jumper’ (Berlin x Heartbreaker) in the young horse 125/130 classes and the promising 7-year old gelding did not touch a single pole during the whole weekend.

Isabella HX (Diamant de Semilly x Libero H) was Sanna’s mount for the CSI** Small tour and was placed 10th in the final 140 cm class.

Isabella HX made a solid performance finishing 10th in the Small Tour final.

Saturday’s big class was a 145 cm jump-off class, that again finished with a Finnish 1-2. The victor was young and promising John Antell with Iscara del Maset (Indret del Maset), only .05 seconds faster than Sanna Backlund on Zorro H (Numero Uno x Burggraaf). Sanna and Zorro H went on to be placed in the World Cup class as 11th with one knock-down.

John Antell’s Iscara del Maset taking the most out of her moment in the limelight.
Sanna Backlund’s Zorro H were 2nd on Saturday and went on to be 11th in the main event.
