Sanna Backlund was the only rider to keep a double clear in today’s opening leg of the new national GP series carrying the name of it’s patron, OP Pohjola group.
Everything was uncertain until the last fence as Maija Yli-Huhtala with Birchcape’s Wonderland (Wizzerd x Clinton) was already in the lead with a mere time fault from the 1st round, totalling up to less than a pole’s worth.
Sanna could keep her cool and delivered a second clear round with Zorro H (Numero Uno) to take the victory in the first ever leg of the new GP format over fences of 145 cm high.
Pohjola Silver Tour GP today saw just one clear and no jump-off was necessary, as the first price was given to Daniela Simola on Darthina (Carthino Z x Animo). Second was again Sanna Backlund this time with Isabella HX (Diamant de Semilly x Libero H), with one time fault.
